We are so confident in the quality of the products we supply, 4StarTech provides a limited warranty on all products we sell, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty is provided by 4StarTech directly and is separate from any manufacturer’s warranty. Because 4StarTech is an independent reseller and not an authorized reseller of any manufacturer, original manufacturer warranties may not apply to products purchased through us.

Where a manufacturer’s warranty is transferable and applicable, we will assist customers in understanding the process, but 4StarTech cannot guarantee manufacturer warranty coverage on independently resold products.

Warranty Periods By Product Category

The following warranty periods apply from the date of receipt of the product, unless a different period is explicitly stated on the individual product listing:

Security Appliances / Firewalls 1 Year
Wireless Access Points & LAN Controllers 1 Year
Video Conferencing Codecs & Cameras 1 Year
All Other Products 90 Days

If a product listing specifies a different warranty period, that listing-level term takes precedence over the table above.

What The Warranty Covers

The 4StarTech warranty covers:

    • Hardware defects in materials or workmanship under normal use
    • Failures not caused by physical damage, misuse, unauthorized modification, or acts of nature

The Warranty Does NOT Cover:

    • Physical damage caused after delivery
    • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or use outside the product’s intended purpose
    • Normal wear and tear
    • Products with tampered, removed, or altered serial numbers
    • Software, firmware, or licensing issues

Non-Warranted Items

The following categories carry NO warranty and are sold as-is:

    • Software licenses
    • Cisco SmartNet and other service contracts
    • Digital goods and downloadable products
    • Items explicitly marked “Sold As-Is” on the product listing

 All sales of these items are final and non-returnable.

Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim within the applicable warranty period:

    • Contact Orders@4startech.com with your order number, serial number, and a description of the defect
    • Our team will respond within 1–2 business days with an RMA number and return instructions
    • Return the item double-boxed, with the RMA number clearly written on the outer box
    • All original items included in the order must be returned; missing components will void the claim

 No warranty claims will be processed without a valid RMA number. RMA numbers are valid for 10 days from the date of issue.

Warranty Remedy

At 4StarTech’s sole discretion, a valid warranty claim will be resolved by one of the following:

    • Repair of the defective unit
    • Replacement with the same or equivalent product
    • Issuance of store credit

 Replacements will only be shipped after the defective item has been received and inspected at our warehouse. Refunds are processed within 10 business days of confirmation.

Damaged Shipments

CRITICAL: If you receive a damaged package or box, you MUST report it to 4StarTech within 2 business days of delivery. Contact Orders@4startech.com immediately with your order number and photos of the damage. Failure to report within this 2-business-day window will void any damage claim.

Limitation Of Warranty

This warranty is the exclusive remedy available to the buyer. 4StarTech makes no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. 4StarTech’s liability under this warranty is limited to the original purchase price of the product. 4StarTech is not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.
